SITOP CHO1400 24/48 V chopper module 1 kW 24-28 V | 48 V - 56 V DC with monitoring interface The SITOP CHO1400 chopper module is the ideal complement for all 24 and 48 V power supplies to ensure additional protection from a power failure. The chopper module is connected in parallel to the output of a 24 V or 48 V power supply and serves as overvoltage protection. If the voltage exceeds a response threshold (Ue +2V or +4V) due to regeneration, the chopper module limits the voltage to the response threshold by converting the regenerated energy into heat via internal resistors. The chopper module canabsorb a maximum of approx. 1 kW of power and approx. 1.8 kW of energy. When this energy is reached, the module is deactivated and waits for a specified cooling time before becoming operational again. To increase power, two chopper modules can be connected in parallel.
